Rocketry – Review

Rocketry is a film by madhavan Ranganathan starring and directed by himself solely based on the famous scientist Nambi Narayanan the former ISRO senior scientist and research head of VIKAS ENGINE who was unfortunately pushed into controversy of selling the secrets of ISRO to Russia later proved to be non guilty was given compensation of 1 crore by the government of Kerala and was awarded Padma Bushan in 2018

The film’s biggest plus is its novelty factor which works to the film’s biggest advantage especially the second half which works mostly for him effectively translates the struggles faced by Nambi Narayanan to screen and madhavan has given a life time performance as Nambi Narayanan especially as a actor the biggest accomplishment for him in his career might be this .

The film comprises of technicians around the nation especially music by Sam CS deserves special mention especially the rerecording in the second half was amazing , so was cinematography by Sirsha Ray , Editing by Bijith is adequate in most parts

Among the other actors Simran must be the most known face and she gives a commendable performance as the wife of Nambi Narayanan especially in the second half of the film

The biggest drawback of the film is its duration and first half of the film which deals with the adventures of Nambi Narayanan in Russia and France which is intresting but surely requires a sound scientific knowledge to understand the first half while everyone will relate to the struggles faced by Nambi Narayanan

On the whole Rocketry is a novel attempt which deserves a watching in the cinema halls

Kudos to Maddy and team
